Fidelity Investments Internal Applications

The Process

As a Principal UX Designer for Fidelity Investments for over four years, I had the opportunity to design some internal applications that were considered "business critical" for the financial giant. Unfortunately, I am unable to go into full detail on most of the projects I worked on due to rules around divulging trade secrets.

As the Principal UX Designer at Fidelity, here is list of the things I was responsible for:

• Extensive user research prior and during project designs (human centric)
• Continual user testing on prototypes and delivered code
• Development of custom design systems and component libraries within Figma
• Wireframing and hi-fidelity prototyping
• Accessibility research and implementation
• HTML/CSS templating of components
• Design reviews (and approvals) with developers to make sure code was implemented as designed
• Logo Design
• Mentoring of three different junior UX designers
• Guiding business requests to help decide real needs vs wants (Business Analyst hat)
